RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Brazil football great Ronaldo has moved to allay fears about his health, revealing that he expects to leave hospital on Monday after suffering pneumonia.
The 41-year-old was admitted to the Can Misses hospital in Ibiza on Friday and was originally placed in intensive care.
"Friends, I had a strong bout of the flu in Ibiza and I had to be admitted to hospital ... but everything is all in order."
"Tomorrow I'll be discharged and I'll be able to go back home. Thank you all for your love and your messages!"
Ronaldo, who scored 62 goals in 98 matches for Brazil, was on vacation in Ibiza, where he owns a holiday home.
