MOSCOW, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday that it has summoned the minister counselor of the Ukrainian embassy in Moscow and handed over a note of protest following an attack on the Russian trade mission in Kiev.
According to a statement by the ministry, unidentified people on Thursday threw smoke bombs at the trade mission.
It said no diplomats were injured in the attack.
"We expect the Ukrainian authorities to publicly condemn this heinous incident," the statement said.
Russian diplomatic missions in Ukraine have been attacked several times since 2014 by local radicals.
